Scat Cat is Thomas O’Malley’s trumpet playing friend in The Aristocats (1970). Scat Cat is voiced by – and probably named after – American singer and musician Scatman Crothers.
Crothers garnered the nickname “Scatman” from his knack for the improvisational jazz technique known as scat singing. |
