It’s a Small World

 Background
Scar tells Zazu to sing a more upbeat song, and Zazu begins singing the infamously catchy song “It’s a Small World After All.” Scar, annoyed, quickly tells Zazu to choose another song (Zazu chooses I've Got a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts).

The song, “It’s a Small World After All,” originates from the popular Disneyland ride of the same name. The ride was first featured at the 1964 New York World’s Fair (without the now legendary song), and called “children of the world.”

After the fair ended, the ride was relocated to its current home in Disneyland. Walt Disney approached the Sherman Brothers to write a song for the ride, and the result was “It’s a Small World After All.”
