Ric Olié piloted Queen Amidala's Royal Starship in The Phantom Menace. He is is also the leader of Bravo Flight and his squandron assisted in the pivotal destruction of the droid control ship in the Battle of Naboo.
Olié's flight helmet and uniform are inspired by the uniforms and combat gear worn by World War I pilots, like the American ace Eddie Rickenbacker.
