When Peter Parker resolves to save up money to buy a car to impress Mary Jane Watson, he decides to enter a wrestling match in Spider-Man (2002). In the wrestling match he wrestles the infamous Bone Saw McGraw, who was played by real life wrestler Randy "Macho Man" Savage.
Earlier in Savage's career, the wrestler answered to the nickname The Spider. Ironically in the film, Peter Parker initially tells the Ring Announcer that his nickname is The Human Spider. The Ring Announcer, disliking the name, decides to introduce Parker as The Amazing Spider-Man instead.
