Greedo
|
Background |
|
Han Solo shoots the bounty hunter Greedo with his blaster, and memorably tosses the bartender a coin, saying, "Sorry about the mess."
Greedo’s name is derived from greed, which is a selfish desire to have more than one needs, and Greedo loses his patience while trying to collect the money that Han Solo owed Jabba the Hutt.
The language that Greedo spoke in the movie was actually the Quechua, which is the language that was used in the Incan Empire and is currently spoken in various South American countries by about 10 million people.
